Welcome to Dublin homes for sale!
You can’t find much more growth than in the Dublin real estate market today. The city has experienced unprecedented growth over the past few decades, growing from an unassuming locale of 5,000 to a budding small city suburb of nearly 50,000. While positioned in a short striking distance of Columbus, Ohio, Dublin is accomplished in its own right and constantly attracting more affluent residents year after year.
The growth began occurring in the 1970s after major corporations Ashland Inc. and Wendy’s chose Dublin, Ohio as the spot to set up corporate headquarters, bringing loads of jobs to the locals and requiring a more technically skilled set of laborers to fill all the positions. Combine this with the construction of a highway interstate through the region, and more and more Americans were finding their way into this suburb outside of Columbus and laying down roots to stake their claim to paradise.
It wasn’t long before more accomplished and affluent residents, including former pro golfer Jack Nicklaus, set up shop in Dublin as well. In 1974, Nicklaus opened the famed Muirfield Village Golf Club, and the course still hosts the Memorial Tournament regularly to date. The country club is a quintessentially lavish destination offering one of the best golfing experiences to its members that you could find anywhere around.
Regular folks who don’t care much for country clubs have a lot to celebrate in Dublin as well. For one, the schools are exceptional, with many enjoying a Top 10% or Top 5% distinction in both Ohio and in all of America. Dublin is a community through and through, and so the crime rate is extremely low as well. For families, Dublin offers safe streets and great schools, making it incredibly attractive.
If you couldn’t tell by the name, Dublin is also home to a vast Irish population, and so it also serves as home to the “largest Irish festival in the world” according to their advertisements. Each year the small city puts on a massive event to celebrate Irish culture, hosting over 100,000 attendees and providing a venue for hundreds of local vendors, performers, and other acts during three days of fun and festivities. It’s a great draw for the locals and a big boost to the local economy too, as tourists come from far and wide to enjoy this massive event.
Attractions and accolades like these explain why the median home price is rising steadily. Nestled in the suburbs outside of Columbus, there’s often loads of square footage in each property as well. You’ll find estates boasting numerous bathrooms and bedrooms, acres of property, recent renovations and modern fixtures as well as proximity to excellent schools and attractions. In Dublin, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Property values went up 15% since last year. If you’ve been considering buying real estate, there’s never been a better time than now and there’s never been a better place than Dublin, Ohio.
